My old website was absolute garbage. It was written in plain HTML (yikes), didn’t look good on mobile devices and had font problems. I treated it as more of a test bench for the various web design things I was learning at the time than something I’d show to someone, but later I realized that if I don’t take my website seriously, nobody will take me seriously.
I decided on a more minimal approach this time. I recently discovered the world of static website generators and after testing a few of them, I settled on Hugo with the Etch theme. Why a static website generator? Mostly because I can write in Markdown instead of just plain HTML (ew), but also because it’s extremely simple and fast. Like, miliseconds fast.
I won’t write a lot on this website other than an occasional blog post or album review. Don’t expect anything special.
